We went to Las Vegas with our homegroup in the middle of January. It was a super fun trip to a place like no other I've ever been!
In front of our hotel, The Paris
Street Art...this guy was amazing with spray paint! but nothing matches grown adults walking around with yard long margaritas hanging from their necks, which we also saw plenty of!
we walked through all of the casinos and hotels - just a WONDER to see; so much beauty and creativity and oppulence! Here we are in the Venetian...
the Wynn
golden cow...how appropriate
the first winnings!!! 130$ on a horse race!
Outside Treasure Island, watching The Sirens show
Revolution Bar outside the Beatles show...
back in the Venetian...
dinner at the Trevi- great Italian and we really felt like we were sitting in a piazza in Rome!
playing my first nickel slot...I didn't win anything...
but Gene sure did!! He turned 60 cents into 25 dollars - wow!
glass flowers on the ceiling in the Bellagio
watching the water fountain show in front of the Bellagio...I wondered what the big deal was...and then I saw WHAT THE BIG DEAL WAS - wow!! it was really cool!
in front of our hotel
eating in New York, New York
found a slot machine for my girl!
in front of the Luxor
playing poker - ok, I'm just watching (much to the chagrin of the very not nice poker dealer who hated my guts), and they're playing. they played lots and lots of lots of poker while we were there!
New York, New York - we rode the roller coaster at the top! it was cool to ride a coaster on top of a skyscraper and swoop over a city!
view from our room
fancy dinner at a restaurant in the Wynn
they gave us little food on little plates...definitely a first for us!
We went to see "Le Reve," a cirque de solei-like show that was done in and with and above water. it was visually and audibly one of the most awe-inspiring, creative, beautiful things I have ever gotten to experience! it was non-stop jaw-dropping what they were able to create!
at the end...
we went down to "old vegas" - all the wonderful tackiness you always think of! they have a super long screen over the street for a couple of blocks where they put a light show synced with music...
4 Queens? We had to do it...
(the guys surprised us with roses at dinner :))
In the lobby of our hotel checking out so we can get home and see our Bean who we missed desperately!
We had an awesome brunch at "Le Village Buffet" - what a perfect way to end the trip!
One last walk outside to take it all in!
The casino in The Paris...
Goodbye Vegas!

Great summary of your trip! I loved seeing all that you did and all of you are so brave going on a trip without your kids - I think that is awesome! And hope Nick and I are brave to do that once Lainey isn't nursing. My parents were there the same week as you I think!
